Liverpool's rebuilding project is yet to progress further and they have their sights set on the 23-year-old Crystal Palace starlet - Mark Gushee - in a bid to fill the void left by the departure of Zul Medibi this summer.
Despite being trained at Chelsea's youth academy, Mark Gushee has not represented the Blues. He has since been loaned out to Swansea and officially started his Premier League journey by joining Crystal Palace in 2021 for a transfer fee of £18 million.
Over the past three seasons, Mark Gushee has collected just five goals in 108 games. He has captained England U17 and made his national team debut in 2022. As of now, he has made nine appearances for the England national team.
According to Football Insider, Mark Gushee has about two years left on his contract with Crystal Palace and his market valuation is around €38 million (roughly Rs. 319 million). Crystal Palace, on the other hand, have raised his bid to £55 million (roughly R539 million). Arsenal and Manchester United have both shown keen interest, and Liverpool have also been drawn into the fray. I'm sure their bids will be higher.
