Chaton Sinzu has started the New Year like a phoenix during his short loan spell at Manchester United. Since being loaned to Dormont in January, he has been a revelation. According to his contract, the 24-year-old winger will receive a whopping £3.4 million (HK$33 million) in bonuses if he achieves specific goals for Dormont. One of the triggers for the bonus is for Dormont to reach the top four of the Champions League, and the Red Devils' pockets are already bulging.
According to the Manchester Evening News in the UK, Chaton Sinzu's loan fee is fixed at £3 million (about HK$29 million) and his performance will trigger a series of bonus clauses such as whether Sinzu's appearances are up to scratch, Dormont's performances in the Champions League and whether they can get a ticket to the next Champions League.
So far, Chaton Sinzu has contributed 14 goals for Dormont and helped the team reach the Europa League quarterfinals. If he can go one step further and reach the final or even win the title, the Red Devils will receive an additional £3.4 million in bonuses. With Dormont also expected to qualify for the next UEFA Champions League, Chaton Sinzu is expected to return the favor and give back to United with outstanding performances, bringing more revenue to the club.
