In a crucial Premier League clash of relegation survival, Ewarton managed to avoid dropping into the relegation zone with a 2-0 win at home against Nottingham Forest. However, Forest's relegation situation is becoming more and more precarious.

Prior to the match, the two teams were ranked with 16 and 17 points respectively, with EWT having a slight edge. Despite the fact that Drag Fat Sugar had the advantage of home field, the game showed a fierce confrontation between both sides in both offense and defense.

With only 23 minutes to go, Forest's Keogh Yunire was tripped in the box by Eshuriyange without a penalty being awarded. Then on 29 minutes, a long range shot from Izushagur broke the deadlock for Ewarton and gave them a 1-0 lead.

Going into the end of the first half, a controversial penalty was again called. Forest's Herschen O'Doul was booted out of the middle near the line and the ball struck Eshuly Younger's right hand before changing direction and coming out of the line. Ball Witness Anthony Taylor instead pointed to the corner and VAR failed to intervene as Ewarton continued to lead 1-0.

In the second half, Ashley Younger was again kicked in the box by Herschen O'Doul, and once again, the referee and VAR failed to make a statement. In the end, Ewarton added a second goal in the 75th minute to seal the 2-0 win.
