Chasing a place in the top four of the Premier League, Tottenham Hotspur suffered a crushing defeat away to Newcastle on Saturday (13th), as if they had swallowed four eggs. Despite their impressive performances throughout the season, this time around, Dutch heartthrob Andy Windieson, who received "Rolls Royce" praise from Manchester United star O'Ferdinand before the start of the game, was left in a state of disbelief. A photo of him on all fours went viral and became the mark of Tottenham's embarrassment.
Newcastle knocked Spurs on their door within 30 minutes. An easy snap from Alexander Issac saw Yundison pinned to the ground by his pace and a four-footed moment became the turning point of the game. Just a minute later, Anthony Gordon added a second for Newcastle, and once again, Yundison was brought down and made the scapegoat for Tottenham's loss.
Before the game, Rio Ferdinand had praised Windieson: "He's the backbone of Rolls Royce and is on track to be one of the best defensive players in the world!" However, at half-time Windieson's performance was met with mockery from the net. Rio Ferdinand also responded publicly, "Rolls-Royce has occasional technical faults and doesn't need to go into the factory for servicing!"
