Former Manchester United superstar Lian Ger has moved to the Korean league this season, but has failed to reach his set goals. Unfortunately, he suffered a serious knee injury last month and recently underwent cartilage repair surgery, which went well but the recovery period will take up to a month.

Lengyel has reportedly been suffering from a knee injury since March. He had planned to undergo surgery, but his condition came and went and he eventually opted for the surgical option. Liange was ruled out of the army roster for Seoul FC's match against Pohang Steelers due to his injury. According to the schedule, he is expected to miss at least seven matches including the South Korean FA Cup, Seoul EL, Jeonbuk Motors, Daejeon Citizens, FC Suwon, and Ulsan HD League. However, he is expected to make his comeback at FC Daegu at home in the middle of next month.

Seoul FC's head coach Kim Ki-dong revealed, "Liange's knee surgery was not complicated and took about 10 minutes. Despite the serious damage to the cartilage in his knee, he kept playing. Due to the recurring injury, after careful consideration, we decided to resort to surgery. This is the first surgery in Lengyel's career."
