Manchester United have been in a worrying situation, after failing to win three consecutive Premier League matches, there is more bad news. Midfielder Mike McDonald has suffered a knee injury and is expected to be sidelined for three weeks, so he will miss Sunday's (14th) Premier League clash with Neemouth and the April 21st Premier League quarter-final against Govan.
McTominney had been substituted in the Premier League match against Louth, however, he unfortunately twisted his knee during the game and therefore missed the double-red-red-red-red match against Liverpool. According to the Daily Mail, the 27-year-old Scotland international will be out for three weeks and the Red Devils will be without McTominney for the next two rounds.
Although McTomini plays mainly in defensive midfield, his goal-scoring ability should not be underestimated. In the EPL this season, he has already contributed 7 goals, tied with Helen, Rashford, and Alejandro Canazo as one of the top goal-scoring midfielders in the league. His absence will undoubtedly have an impact on the offensive end of the team.
It's worth noting that Rashford was also injured in the last game against Liverpool, but is now fine and expected to be available for the Premier League game at Neymouth.
