In the midst of the waves of the soccer transfer window, Manchester City has quietly laid out a plan to target the return of Lucas Paqueta. The £85 million (about HK$840 million) star, whose release clause will be formally activated in June this year, when the "Blue Moon" is expected to once again welcome back the Brazilian international, to open a new round of reinforcement offensive.
According to the English media, Guardiola has always viewed Lucas Paqueda as the successor to Chivan Dibny. He tried to broker a deal last summer, but at the time Lucas Pacqueda was blocked for allegedly breaching the English soccer team's gambling investigation. Now, with the full support of his family, City are ready to restart negotiations.
Lucas Paqueda, 26, is a class act when it comes to his passing skills. He has been impressive for Westham this season, delivering 8 goals and 7 assists. If he joins City, he is expected to show an even better version of himself at a higher level. His release clause will also be a coveted focus for all the big guns this June.
