Arsenal will host Bayern Munich in their Europa League last-eight first leg at dawn on Wednesday (10). Observing the recent progress of target Gammeji, Arsenal boss Adi Da was able to assess the potential reinforcement on the spot. It is reported that Adi Da plans to bring in a 29-year-old member of the German national team this summer, and with only one year remaining on the player's current contract, the Arsenal are expected to close the deal at an affordable price.

Given the frequent injuries to Thomas Berdy, Adidas are looking for a "jack of all trades" who can play both in defensive midfield and on the right side of the pitch, someone who is versatile and willing to take on challenges. Crucially, Gammage's contract is due to expire in June 2025 and he has yet to find an agent, which has stalled talks with Bayern over a contract extension. It has been reported that Gammage has demanded a significant pay rise, with his salary even equal to that of the team's striker Khalilani, at a whopping £400,000 (about HK$3.95 million). Bayern are struggling to meet Gammage's conditions, which provides a potential opportunity for the Arsenal.

Rumor has it that Arsenal midfielder Xaviers had been privately discussing a transfer with German national teammate Gamgee during last month's internationals. Xaviers was understanding and this seems to have cleared the way for Arsenal to work with Gammage on a transfer.
