The match between Manchester City and Arsenal ended 0-0, and after the match, Blue Moon leader Pep Guardiola admitted in front of the media that the campaign was tied with Porto, while asserting that Liverpool will be a strong contender for the Premier League title this season.
Pep Guardiola said: "the ranking on the table has long been clear, Liverpool is undoubtedly the favorite to win the title, Arsenal followed by us in third place, the initiative to fight for the title is no longer in our hands. I have a feeling that Klopp's Liverpool won't give us another chance against Arsenal, but we can't give up lightly. In our next match against Aston Villa, we must go all out for a win."
Currently on the table, Liverpool leads Arsenal by two points and Manchester City by three. Though the lead isn't that big. Moreover, the Reds have nine remaining league games in which China's Manchester United, Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur could all lose points. Guardiola is not discouraged.
