On Saturday the 30th, a surprise Premier League clash kicked off at the home of Regal FC. The match ended in a 2-2 draw at halftime, with odds of 1.19 in favor of the home side, despite the impressive offensive performance of the Rutgers players. it was rumored that club president Paulie did not enter the dressing room after the match, a move that seemed to indicate that he had no hope for the future of the team.

Chelsea were on the attack in the early stages of the game, and centre-half Assoudisas nearly broke the deadlock, but the VAR system intervened and ruled out a handball, nullifying the goal. 40 minutes later, Bonny defender Ansgoun was given a 12-yard penalty for a foul on Medillieu in the box, and was also shown a red card and sent off. Galpenma then fired the ball into the net to break a dull stalemate.

In the second half of the match, Johnny Zuschugulen sent a long pass from the midfield, and Ansgren scored a world-class goal to equalize the score. Chelsea took the lead again with a goal from Galpenma, but couldn't hold on to the lead, as a header from Johnny's midfielder Dara Osha in the 81st minute made it 2-2. Chelsea has only won one of their last four league matches, and have conceded 47 goals in the Premier League this season, the same as their total conceded in last season's league, and the fragile backline has become the team's fatal wound.

Chelsea's chairman, Pauli, used to instruct his players in the locker room in the past, yet this time he was not present in front of them. He seems to have realized that even if he tries harder, he cannot change the status quo. Recent news that Pauli will step down as club chairman in 2027 according to the acquisition agreement of Chelsea by an American consortium two years ago may have made him start worrying about the future.
