Manchester City star Chiyondi Buni has only the final year left on his contract, yet negotiations for an extension seem to be at an impasse. Even while recovering from an injury, he has personally intervened in the negotiations, which have still not borne fruit. City have reportedly targeted Leverkusen's 20-year-old starlet, Kolian Waddis, as a possible replacement.

Faced with a deadlock over his contract renewal, Chiyun Dibni has chosen to put it on hold for now, leading to speculation as to whether he intends to leave as a free agent next summer. Rumor has it that a Saudi Arabian club has offered an annual salary of 100 million euros (about HK$845 million) to lure the midfield brain, who is expected to become the shining star of the Saudi League after Ciron.

Manchester City are less confident of retaining Chieuendibni as they face strong competition from Saudi clubs and have begun an active search for a successor, with Kolyan Wardis emerging as a prime target. The German international has contributed 36 appearances, 11 goals and 17 assists in Liverpool this year and is valued at a whopping €110 million (around HK$930 million).

Although Kolianwadis is an absolute mainstay of Leverkusen's side, the club has always put profit before everything else, having sold soulmate Xavis to Chelsea four years ago. Therefore, if City's offer is reasonable, Livaguson may also agree to let the starlet go.
