Liverpool settled down as Suboslar's long range shot was parried by Onana, while Endo went close in the 36th minute, but was ruled offside. 44 minutes in, Liverpool finally got on the scoreboard as Chalol Konsa sent in a pinpoint cross for Dawunyunis to score and bring the score to 1-1. In the first half of stoppage time, Zukomes pushed for a goal, Dawunyunis' shot was blocked, and Mohammed Shahnabad added the second goal. Liverpool went back up 2-1.

In the last minute of the match, United substitute Amitdia quickly counterattacked on a Liverpool corner kick attack and broke through the Liverpool defense, and United beat Liverpool 4-3 to advance to the quarterfinals.
