As the morning sun dawned, the Premier League match on Sunday (10th) was already on fire. Arsenal struggled in the recent past, but Xaviers saved the day with a late goal to beat Brentford 2-1 at home. Xaviers scored in four consecutive league matches, helping Arsenal to eight consecutive wins in the Premier League, temporarily leapfrogging to the top of the table. Meanwhile, the two favorites, Liverpool and Manchester City, are about to start a fierce battle, and Arsenal seems to be expected to sit back and watch the tigers fight.

Arsenal were in control of the game for a while and Deeglan Rice thought the win was in the bag on 19 minutes when he collected a cross from Binwet. However, goalkeeper Lansdal made a fatal error just before half-time when a clearance was intercepted by Unversa in the box and the ball rebounded into the net. In the second half, Arsenal went all out on the attack and Deaglan Rice had a great shot that hit the crossbar. In the end, Xaviers' header in the 86th minute was the "killer".

It was Xaviers' 89th-minute header that helped Arsenal to a narrow 1-0 win away at Binford in the first round. Xaviers was once again the hero in this game, scoring in four consecutive league games for the first time in his Premier League career. Despite playing as a midfielder for most of the season, Xavis has already scored eight times this term, equalling Lus' record for most goals in a season, and has been rejuvenated since joining Arsenal.

After the match, Arsenal manager Adi Da said, "Every time Xavis scores a goal, we see his efficiency, intelligence and hard work for the team, it's really hard not to like him." Xavis also responded, regarding the support of the home fans: "All players want to be loved by the fans, maybe some get it from the start, but I always stay confident and train hard. I'm happy to enjoy this moment with the fans."
