Recently, the future direction of Barcelona's central midfielder Frankie de Jong has once again come into focus. According to Spain's Daily Sport, French giants Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are interested in signing the 26-year-old Dutch international this summer. As for Barcelona, they are also actively looking for a replacement for Bayern Munich's "all-round warrior" Aiden Alisson, with the intention of consolidating their squad through reinforcements.

PSG have long coveted Frankie de Jong since 5 years ago, but due to Barcelona's intervention at the time, the deal could not be finalized. This time, PSG are still pining for the midfielder, and with the possible summer departure of striker Kylian Mbappe, they have decided to make another move and are willing to pay a transfer fee of up to 60 million euros (about HK$500 million) for Frankie de Jong.

Barcelona have been planning to sell Frankie de Jong for a long time due to their financial woes. Two years ago, they almost sold the player to Manchester United, but Frankie de Jong refused to become a "Magic Wing" and the deal eventually fell through, and PSG's generosity and Champions League credentials may be able to lure Frankie de Jong to the club.
