Prior to the game, Liverpool had lost Alison Biggar to Keeley Boots in goal. Early in the game, Diss Jones left the field with an injury and on 35 minutes, Dawun Nunes broke the deadlock with a solo goal, but just before half-time, Diego Zuda was also carried off on a stretcher with an injury, and Mohammed Schauner came on as a substitute.
In the 55th minute of the second half, Shana delivered a pinpoint assist to Alex McAleese, who scored at the near post, earning Liverpool a valuable penalty kick. Then, in the 68th minute, Sana scored his first goal since his comeback.
