English soccer superstar Lian Ger has been unemployed for the past six months since his contract with Nottingham Forest FC expired last season. However, the former Manchester United player recently announced a shock decision to head to South Korea and is set to join Seoul FC after completing a medical this week.It is reported that an agreement has been reached to sign a two-year contract and that Lian-Ge will be the highest paid player in the Korean Professional Football League.

Lian Ger, 31, has tried to join Major League Soccer and Saudi Arabian clubs over the past six months, but ultimately failed to do so. However, Chosun Ilbo has exclusively revealed that Lian Ger and Seoul FC have agreed on a two-year deal that will pay him a whopping US$1.15 million (HK$9 million) a year, a salary level that makes him the top-paid player in the Korean Professional League. This week, Liange will travel to South Korea for physical tests and officially complete the signing process.
