Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) narrowly beat Strasbourg 2-1 away from home in a Ligue 1 clash in the early hours of the morning of the 3rd. Even though PSG's star player Kylian McBarbie missed a 12-yard penalty, he still scored a goal, becoming the first player since the 1970/71 season to score 20+ goals in the first 20 rounds of Ligue 1.
Just six minutes into the match, PSG had a penalty kick opportunity, which Kilian McBarbie took himself, but was miraculously saved by goalkeeper Bilaluzzi. According to Stats Foot, Kilian McBarbie has only hit 4 out of his last 12 penalties in Ligue 1, which is not a good strike rate.
However, Bilaluzzi's penalty kick was followed by an accidental "oops". In the 31st minute, a clearance error was made by PSG winger Marko Acincio, and the ball rebounded to the feet of Kilian McBarbee, who put the ball in the back of the net to break the deadlock.
Shortly after the resumption, Kilian McBarbie rewarded Margaux Acinsio's assist by extending his assisted score to 2-0. Despite Strasbourg's equalizer, PSG took all three points to maintain their lead in the standings with a nine-point lead over Nice, who had played a game less.
