In an up and down game, Manchester United came back to beat Wolves 4-3 away from home, however there was disturbing news after the game. Argentinian center back Licindo Martinez, who returned to action shortly after surgery, was substituted late in the game, and was then iced on his foot by the army doctor, suspected to have re-injured it. Last year, he already had two surgeries for metatarsal fractures, and if he is injured again this time, it will undoubtedly be a huge blow to United.
Since his injury last September, Lisindou Martinez had been on the mend until the middle of last month, and this game was his second regular season game back. With Wolves trailing 2-3, Lisindou Martinez was adjusted out of the game by the trainer and immediately immobilized his foot with an ice pack upon returning to the bench. Without him, United conceded another goal in the next game, and thankfully Maneo's strike helped United win the game.
