Ever since the game against Luton in November last year, Manchester United midfielder Mason Mount has been out of action due to injury. Although he has been able to rehabilitate outdoors, he has recently had to turn indoors again to face the loneliness of training alone. Even team leader Tannhäuser is at a loss as to when the 25-year-old England international will be able to return to action.

Last summer, Manchester United purchased Mason Monty, who had only one year left on his contract, from Chelsea for a whopping £60 million (about HK$600 million), a move that immediately sparked controversy. His arrival was partly due to the unsatisfactory performance of the Devils in the latter stages of the season, and partly due to his frequent injuries, which seemed to be more frequent than "playing". In the second round of the Premier League against Tottenham Hotspur at the beginning of the season, he missed six matches due to injury, and in November he suffered another injury.

Tannhäuser was expecting Mason Monty to make a comeback last month, but the reality did not go his way. The Dutch coach said: "Monty is very frustrated with his repeated injuries and I sympathize with him and fully support him. We have to make sure he's fully fit before we can get him back on the field and we can't rush things. I hope he can make a comeback at the end of the season."
