In the EFL Cup battlefield, Chelsea's stalwart Benoit Badiyashuni unfortunately left the match against Aston Villa with an injury. The latest news confirms that he suffered a groin sprain and will be out of action for a month, thus missing the EFL Cup final on February 25th, which would have been a great opportunity for him to face Liverpool.

Banlote Badiyashuni suffered an injury in the 87th minute of the match and had to leave the game early, which caused him to miss the last Premier League match against Crystal Palace. Now, it has been confirmed that he will need to recuperate for 1 month, which means he will miss at least another 5 matches to come, including the Premier League showdown with Manchester City, the clash with Salford, the Premier League fixture against Newcastle, the EFL Cup match against Leeds United, and of course, the all-important EFL Cup final.
