Miami International are set to begin a warm-up match against Kobe Victory on Wednesday (7) at 6pm. However, ticket sales for this Japan leg of the tournament have been dismal, with even mid- to low-priced tickets failing to sell out due to the absence of ace Mays from the Hong Kong tournament due to an injury earlier in the day.

Official ticketing data showed that the highest priced tickets, ¥45,000 (about HK$2,380), were sold out the day before the match, but tickets for ¥12,000 (about HK$635) and ¥18,000 (about HK$952) were still in hot demand. Many netizens have used this as a way to tease that Japanese fans are not easily fooled, while others have pointed out that excluding matches held in China, there are often many empty seats for the USMNT's warm-up matches elsewhere.
