On Sunday (4), Internacional Mayami faced Hong Kong in a highly anticipated USL match, however, the news that the team's top star, Misi, was out due to injury quickly sparked a citywide debate and even drew extensive attention from the international media. With the timing of Mays' comeback not yet clear, the internet was abuzz with rumors that International Maia Mi's away match against Japanese side Kobe Victory Ship on Wednesday (7) might be canceled. However, the rumors were put to rest shortly after when the club took to social media platforms to confirm that the match would be held as scheduled and that ticket purchasing channels would remain unchanged.

Mays has been plagued by injuries of late, having lasted just seven minutes in an away match against Saudi Arabian side Ainas, despite being contractually obliged to play. He was a spectator for the entire match against Hong Kong. Considering the 36-year-old striker's current condition, it is expected to be difficult for him to return to action in Wednesday's match as well, and the possibility of another absence cannot be ruled out.

What's more, Apple TV has taken the warm-up match off the platform, further fueling rumors that the match has been canceled. However, the International Maia Mi side was quick to clarify, stating that the team will be traveling to Japan next and the date of the match will remain the same.
