In Tuesday's Premier League match, Manchester City defeated Brentford 3-1 on the road, continuing their nine-game winning streak in all competitions. The Premier League is now a three-way race for the top spot, with City and Arsenal sharing 49 points, trailing top spot Liverpool by just two points. Despite playing a game less, the team is considered 1.52 times the favorite to win the title by Footsie thanks to the strong performances of key players such as Ainin Zaha, Kiyun Dibny and Phil Cotton, who scored a hat-trick in this game.

City started the game with a strong lineup and besieged Binford goalkeeper Philligan in the first half. Even more amazingly, the Dutch keeper also opened the scoring on 21 minutes with a direct assist to Ma'obi from a lob. However, City's technical superiority eventually prevailed and Phil Cotton grabbed the equalizer in the penalty area just before half-time to make it 1-1. In the second half, City went from strength to strength, with Phil Cotton scoring a header in the 53rd minute from Chivan Dibny's cross, and then again in the 70th minute when he scored twice in a brilliant combination with Ainin Zaha, to help City to a 3-1 win.

Since the World Championship Cup last December, Manchester City have been in hot form, winning 9 matches in a row in all competitions. Premier League star Kinnear was blunt on his Sky Sports program, "After watching this game, I don't think Liverpool and Arsenal have the ability to hold City down, and I might be wrong. But with City having the return of Chivan Dibny and Enin Zaha on standby, I don't think those two teams can stand shoulder to shoulder with City."
