International Miami ended their trip to Hong Kong on Monday (5) in a hurry due to the "back to the water storm" and departed for Japan on a special flight in the afternoon. The team's official website updated the news of the players' arrival in Japan, Argentine soccer superstar Mez walked out of the cabin with his personal belongings and a drink in his hand, in stark contrast to his cold look in Hong Kong, and smiled as he descended the stairs this time.

It was reported that the International Miami was scheduled to visit the Kai Tak Sports Park, but the trip was canceled. The team departed from the hotel at 2 p.m. and arrived at the Hong Kong International Airport at 3 p.m. by special bus, and then flew to Tokyo, Japan, the same evening to start their journey to Japan.

Mays had a restrained expression during his time in Hong Kong and rarely showed a smile, however, in the official photo from Tokyo, he was smiling as he descended the stairs, seemingly unaffected by the Hong Kong fiasco and with a change in attitude towards training in Japan.

Inter Miami will play an exhibition match against Japanese J-League champions Kobe Victory on Wednesday (7). The match will feature a special guest appearance by Barcelona and Kobe Victory star Ennistar, who will reunite with Mays and a group of former Barcelona teammates in Tokyo, as "Whitey" was Mays' "Strongest on the Ground" teammate during the same period, making this match a very significant one. Perhaps this is also the secret behind Mays' smile.
