United midfielder Mason Mount has been out with an injury since last November against Luton, and although he has been rehabbing outdoors before, he has recently had to move back indoors to work alone. United boss Tannhäuser has also expressed his frustration over the timing of the 25-year-old England international's comeback.

Last summer, Manchester United brought in Mason Mount, who had only one year left on his contract, from Chelsea for a whopping £60 million (about HK$600 million), a move that sparked a lot of controversy at the time. The most worrying thing is that Mason has not performed well since joining the club, often missing out due to injuries, and seems to be under a "spell". After the second round of the Premier League last season against Tottenham Hotspur, he missed six consecutive matches due to injury, and was injured for the second time in November.

Tannhäuser had planned to bring back Mason Monty last month, but the reality did not work out. The Dutch coach said, "Monte has been injured and it has been very frustrating for him, I sympathize with him and fully support him. We have to make sure he is fully recovered before we can get him back in the game and we can't rush things. I expect Mason Monty to be back at the end of the season."
