Recently, the Saudi soccer world has been in a state of flux, with all the big players bringing in soccer superstars at high prices. However, the top management of the tournament felt that this initiative was still insufficient and announced that from next season, the number of overseas players for each team will be expanded from the existing 8 to 10, which will bring more top players from the international soccer world to Saudi Arabia, competing for a chance to show their skills in this new world.

The Saudi Football Association (SFA) has forewarned that in order to meet the development needs of the major clubs, the maximum number of registered players in the first team of each club will be raised from the current 24 to 25 from next season, which can include up to 10 foreign players. On match days, each team can field up to eight foreign players at the same time.
