In the upcoming exciting matches of the African Cup of Nations, I am only interested in Senegal, the last king of Group C, who are about to start their defense of the title by challenging Gambia in their first match of the group stage.

Senegal have been preparing well for the match, winning their first four matches without conceding a single goal, and their defense has been their killer app. Experienced Premier League players such as Berbischaya, Ghoulibani and goalkeeper Edouard Aventis have built an impenetrable backline. On the offensive side, Sardy Owny leads the way, with Nicolas Jackson and Ismaila Shaya in support. This combination is enough to intimidate opponents. It would not be a surprise if the Senegalese trident breaks the net together. Gambia's recent form has been poor, with three defeats and four goals conceded, so it seems the defending champions will be looking to establish an advantage in this match.

In the same group, Cameroon take on Ghana in a matchup to be reckoned with. Although I'm tipping Cameroon to qualify, they'll face a tough challenge from Ghana. Cameroon's last five matches have been characterized by one win, two draws and two losses, and the absence of Manchester United goalkeeper Oonana could affect their performance. Cameroon's manager Sangji's decision not to select Bayern Munich striker Zoup Moting is baffling, and the team will be looking to Aboubaca and Togo Igambi. Ginebra have played Cameroon frequently and are undefeated in their last three matches and have beaten Nigeria in warm-up matches, but with star striker Gulas injured, it's still unclear whether they can turn the tables and win.

In Group D, Algeria seek a comeback after failing to defend their title. As two-time African Cup of Nations champions, they hope to start the tournament on a strong note and continue their winning streak of the last five matches. Number one player, Marius, has vowed to lead his team back to the top, which will undoubtedly put huge pressure on their opponents. Although Angola's form ahead of the tournament is also impressive, there is still a question mark over whether they can remain undefeated against Algeria.
