Rumored Manchester United winger, Anthony Martial, seems to be standing on the cusp of the transfer market. The player is said to have failed to leave the club in the winter transfer window but is expected to find a new home in the new window that opens in the summer. Dating back to 2015, Madier joined United from Monaco with three tough conditions attached, of which only one was fulfilled while the other two failed to materialize, saving United a whopping 14.4 million pounds (about HK$143 million).
Madier joined Manchester United for a transfer fee of £36 million and came with three variable bonuses of £7.2 million each. The first of these bonuses has already been paid out for his outstanding performances at United, where he made 317 appearances and scored 90 goals in nine seasons, earning Monaco £7.2 million as a result.
However, for the remaining two bonuses, Monaco had no share. The second bonus is conditional on Madier making more than 25 appearances for the French national team in the first four years after joining United, a condition that is clearly out of reach for Madier.
