As we enter the year 2024, the year of the "annual feast" in the field of sports events, the UEFA European Cup, the America's Cup, the Africa Cup of Nations, and the Asian Cup have all chosen to kick off in this year. Among these four major tournaments, the America's Cup has a particularly attractive prize fund of US$10 million (HK$78 million), while the Asian Cup has a relatively small prize fund of US$5 million (HK$39 million), which is not even as much as the Africa Cup of Nations.

The America's Cup has a prize pool of US$10 million for the winner alone and US$5 million for the runner-up. As for the European soccer field, which is traditionally known for its high prize money, the prize money for the winner of this year's Europa League is as high as 8 million euros (about HK$68 million), with the runner-up also getting 5 million euros.

It is worth mentioning that the Europa League also has a "progressive bonus" mechanism, which can accumulate up to 28.25 million euros (about 240 million Hong Kong dollars) if you remain undefeated all the way from the group stage to the final.

The prize money for this year's Africa Cup of Nations has also been significantly increased, with the winner taking home US$7 million (about HK$54.7 million), the runner-up receiving US$4 million, while the third and fourth-placed teams will each receive US$1.3 million.
