Liverpool beat Arsenal in a thrilling EFL Cup clash, however the joy of victory did not completely cover the shadow behind. Reds assistant coach Lendas revealed that right-back Alexandre Arnault has unfortunately suffered a serious injury, tearing the lateral ligament in his knee, and is expected to be sidelined for a few weeks, out of action for six key matches including the EFL Cup quarter-finals.
Facing an interview on Liverpool's official website, Liandas said in a heavy tone, "First of all, I would like to convey the unfortunate news that Arnott was unfortunately injured in the last EFL Cup match against Arsenal, with a slight tear in the lateral ligament of his knee. After a scan, he will be out of action for a few weeks. We certainly hope that Arnott will recover soon as he always plays a key role in crucial moments and it is vital for our team that he returns."
At this point, the camera pans to Arnott's training ground, and the hearts of the fans rise and fall with every jump he makes. Despite the difficulties they face, Liverpool's team spirit and desire to win continue to inspire them forward.
