According to the latest news, Chelsea's rising left-back star Ian Matson is about to be loaned to Borussia Dortmund, a partnership that will last a full half-decade on a £2 million (about HK$20 million) rental. The concern is that Dortmund will be fully responsible for Matheson's salary and the deal is expected to be finalized in no time.

"Transfer expert" Romano excitedly announced "HERE WE GO!" and revealed the details of Ian Matson's transfer: "Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund have agreed on Matson's loan, and Borussia Dortmund will pay the player's salary and Mattsson will depart on Tuesday and have a medical on Wednesday."

At just 21 years of age, Ian Matson is a standout of the Dutch youth set-up and has excelled at left-back despite standing at just 1.67 meters tall. Since his promotion to the first team from the Chelsea youth academy five years ago, Mattsson has had brief loan spells at clubs such as Charlton, Govanelli and Bonny. During his brief loan spell at Bonny in particular, he became a key player in the team's promotion push. This season, he was recalled by Chelsea and made 15 appearances over a six-month period, albeit without scoring or assisting.
