Anfield Watch in the UK have revealed that Liverpool are plotting to bring forward the signing of central midfielder Gudis Jones on a new contract until 2029, in a move designed to quell speculation that Arsenal are interested in signing the 22-year-old England starlet.
Although Gudis Jons currently has 3.5 years left on his current contract, the club's hierarchy strongly believes in the need to give him a pay rise and a contract extension in anticipation of his full commitment to continue to fight for the team, given that he has already appeared in 19 matches this season, contributing three goals and three assists in a stellar performance.
