South Korean star Son Heung-min will represent his country at the Asian Cup and is expected to miss a month of Tottenham Hotspur's matches, giving the team the need to adjust their forward line. The Spanish youngster Bainkill will take this opportunity to fight for the starting position, avoiding to become the "spare tire" and be loaned again.

In the absence of Son Heung-min, it is expected that Lee Tsaritsyn will move to the striker position to fill the vacancy of Son Heung-min. As for who will take over the Brazilian international's position on the left flank, it is a question that coach Pusztigorlu needs to address urgently. Byrnkill is obviously a good choice.

The 22-year-old winger moved to Tottenham Hotspur from Westville in the summer of 2021, but was not given enough attention. He spent the last two seasons on loan at Valencia and West Vale, where he scored two goals in 24 appearances. His masterpiece was contributing an assist in extra time in the second leg of the UEFA Cup quarter-finals to help his side knock out Juventus, which was eventually won by West Vale, with Bainkill getting the credit.

Byrnekil remains mainly on the bench after returning to Tottenham this season, making just eight appearances. He faces the risk of being loaned out again in the winter. However, given that Son Heung-min will be leaving the team for the Asian Cup, coach Pusztigorlu may give Bainkil more appearances to prove himself.

Tottenham's two fixtures this month are the EFL Cup against Bonny and the Premier League match against Manchester United, and Byrnekir's performance will be key to his ability to stay in the team.
