Manchester United have been a major failure this season and fans are doubly worried about the current state of the team. With the January transfer window approaching, the club is bound to make some drastic adjustments. The Daily Mail revealed that Manchester United's director of soccer, Meto, has recently stepped quietly into Saudi Arabia to start transfer negotiations with the local league for four top stars, namely Chaton Sinzu, Anthony Madill, Kasimiru and Wahrani. However, Metto's trip to Saudi Arabia was only an initial contact and he returned without finalizing any transfer deal.

Meto is said to have arrived in Riyadh at the beginning of the month for a meeting with Saudi League representatives with the aim of marketing the four stars, who are worth 230 million pounds ($2.268 billion). United had expected to raise funds from the transfer in order to bring in a center, midfielder and striker each for leader Tannhäuser in January. For this reason, United are not afraid to reduce the price significantly in an effort to make the deal happen.

However, the Daily Mail suggests that the Saudi club may not make an immediate move in January, opting instead to launch another bid in the summer. Sources reveal that United's most pressing desire at the moment is to get rid of England wing Chayton Sinzu, and as for the other three stars, they won't be forced to leave if they don't receive a satisfactory offer. No final agreement was reached on any transfer before Metto returned to England.
