In the Premier League at dawn on Wednesday (6), a seemingly one-sided match erupted into a surprising spark. Two teams with vastly different rankings met each other, and Arsenal finally won a thrilling 4-3 victory over promoted Luton with a header by "Mr. Billion Dollar Man" Dylan Rice in the last six minutes of extra time. The victory not only earned Arsenal three valuable points, but also marked the completion of the manager Adi Da's total conquest of the 25 teams in the Premier League.
The game looked to be in good hands when Arsenal's Gabier Martinelli scored a goal just 20 minutes into the game. However, the team was put on the back foot immediately afterwards as Luton equalized in the 25th minute with a header from midfielder Osho Osho. Before the end of the first half, Gabil Jecsis scored another header to help Arsenal take a 2-1 lead.
In the second leg, Luton came out of nowhere to take the lead to 3-2 with goals from Ilicha Adebayo and Bakri, but Arsenal, with their deep pockets, equalized in the 60th minute through Xaviers. Nonetheless, the team was unable to break the deadlock in the ensuing huddle until the sixth minute of extra time, when a pinpoint cross from the left by Martyn Odigat was met by a towering header from Deeglan Rice to seal the 4-3 win. The England international, who is valued at £100 million (HK$985 million), proved his worth once again, scoring the winning goal in extra time for the second time this season in the Premier League, following his extra-time strike against Manchester United in September.
