Arsenal's clash with Luton was like a thrilling drama that ended in a thrilling 4-3 victory. Goalkeeper David Raye, however, came close to being the guilty party of the match. The Spanish international made a series of errors early in the second half, which led to his team going from the lead to the deficit. Although the "Arsenal" still won all three points, many fans blasted David Lahaye's poor performance, calling him the "Arsenal's Onana" and calling on coach Adidas to reintroduce Lansdal as the starting goalkeeper.
Arsenal led 2-1 at half time of the game, but just four minutes into the second half, Luton took a corner kick which David Laye hesitated to take and was headed home by opposition striker Ilicha Edibayo. Just eight minutes later, Barkley shot from a narrow angle on the left and although there was little threat, David Laye was unable to prevent the ball from going in as his side again dropped points and were left struggling.
After the game, fans were calling for Adidas to relegate David Laye to the bench and reintroduce Lansdal. Indeed, Lansdal was outstanding last season, but Arsenal still loaned David Laye from Binford this summer to take Lansdal's place in the regular squad. It is said that this is because of his ability to control the ball, but David Lahaye's mistakes are frequent, including the game against Chelsea in October, was hit by Medillieu's pass, and this game's poor performance, no wonder the "factory fans" can not stand him.
