Nottingham Forest set an all-time record of bringing in over 20 new players after their successful leap to the Premier League last season. This summer, they have splashed out again, signing 14 new players, including central midfielder Ibrahim Mohsingani, who was acquired for the club's highest-ever fee of £30 million (HK$297 million). However, according to The Sun, a number of managers are demanding the commission owed to Forest, who are at risk of being banned by the Football Association from bringing in new players.

The Sun has revealed that Forest have been investing wildly in the player market over the last 18 months but have fallen behind on their managerial commissions, a problem that has continued unresolved up until last week. A number of managers and consultants have expressed extreme dissatisfaction with the situation and have not ruled out seeking help from the English Football Association given that their income is guaranteed by them and could force Forest to fail to make reinforcements during the January transfer window.
