In an English non-league clash on Wednesday (15), Marsfield and Basford United played out a goalscoring battle. Marsalfi midfielder John Ronnie scored a stunning reverse hook from the halfway line, which was comparable to Manchester United's David Beckham's classic hook at Wimbledon Stadium in 1996. John Ronnie has "Red Devils" blood in his veins, and it's all because of his brother, one of the greatest goalscorers in United's history.

The scene was like this: John Ronnie broke the ball at the back of the field and immediately started a counter-attack. Near the center line, he observed that the opponent's goalkeeper was standing too far forward, and then he decided to take his foot and hit a precise barb shot, which made a wonderful arc, and then firmly drilled into the net. Despite the fact that the game took place in Division 7, John Ronnie's goal was undoubtedly a world-class performance, and sadly, Marsfields had to settle for a 1-1 draw.
