As England head into the final round of the UEFA Nations League, the team has suffered an unprecedented injury crisis. Zuidi Binningham and Govier were officially withdrawn from the tournament on Tuesday (14) due to shoulder injuries, bringing the number of names on the injury list to five. Worse still, Rashford and Gavin Phillips have been delayed until this weekend due to "personal commitments", dealing a blow to England's preparations.
Zudi Binningham and Govier had to miss the last round of league matches due to shoulder injuries, and although they have reported to the England squad, a full examination by the Army doctors has finally confirmed that they will not be able to play. In a statement, the FA said: "Binningham and Govier will not play in the two European matches against Malta and North Macedonia and, following assessment by the Army doctors, they have been allowed to return to their respective clubs to continue their treatment. Meanwhile, Rashford and Gavin Phillips will also need to wait until later in the week to rejoin the squad for personal reasons."
