Nottingham Forest made it two wins in a row with a 3-1 victory over Crest City in the Premier League battleground that dawned on Saturday (26). Forest striker Keith Waters scored two solo goals in the thrilling battle and was the key player in the match. According to OPTA, Keith Waters has scored 16 goals in the Premier League since December 23, 2023, when Portuguese manager Nuno took charge of Forest, second only to Manchester City's super-scorer Ahmed Salah's 18 goals.
In this match, Nottingham Forest showed a strong anti-climax. A long range shot from Yeddis in the 16th minute of the game opened the door for Leicester City, however, Leicester City quickly equalized. Harry Winks' clever cross from the left was headed home from close range by Jimmy Vardy, making the 37-year-old striker the fourth oldest goal scorer in Premier League history.
The changeover was officially kicked off by Keith Waters' solo show. He first turned and pumped a shot into the back of the net, then capitalized on a precise long pass from goalkeeper Sours to capture a hole in the Leicester City defense and make it 3-1. The 32-year-old New Zealand international has scored four goals in his last three Premier League matches. So far this season, he has contributed seven goals in nine matches, a remarkable efficiency. He is second in the scorer's list behind Salah, who has scored 10 goals. It is worth mentioning that Nottingham Forest were fighting for relegation last season, but this season they have jumped up to the fifth place in the league, and the overall performance of the team is brand new.
