This past Sunday night saw a climactic showdown in Ligue 1. Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) traveled to Bicester and came away with a 3-2 victory. French starlet Kylian McBarbie was the hero of the match, scoring twice, including a spectacular solo goal from midfield, sprinting all the way to the edge of the box. The 24-year-old international has amassed a staggeringly efficient 250 goals in club matches since his debut.
Just 16 minutes into the match, Shari Amery broke the deadlock for PSG with a powerful shot. Immediately after, Kilian McBarbie took a precise pass from Lee Kang-in on the left and quickly burst into the box, calmly putting the ball into the net to extend the lead to 2-0. However, PSG, who were leading by two goals, let their guard down in the following game and were scored by Bicester's strikers, Mounir and Naduarang, to level the score at 2-2.
It wasn't until the 89th minute of the game that PSG were given a penalty kick opportunity. Kilian McBarbie took the penalty himself, and although the goalkeeper Bisouji parried the shot, he didn't give up and managed to send the supplementary shot into the net, shutting out Bicester with a score of 3-2. Kilian McBarbie leads the Ligue 1 scoring charts with 10 goals in 9 appearances this season. Since scoring for Monaco for the first time in February 2016, he has scored 250 goals in the last seven years of club action, with 223 of those coming during his time with PSG.
