Recently, the Colombian media disclosed that Luis Díaz, a soccer star who plays for Liverpool in the English Premier League, had suffered an unfortunate encounter with his parents, who were tragically caught by armed kidnappers. It is reported that the Colombian police and army have acted swiftly to rescue them. Fortunately, Luis Diaz's mother has been rescued, but his father is still under the control of the kidnappers. The Governor of Guajira has also spoken out publicly, urging the kidnappers to release the hostages as soon as possible.

The incident took place last Saturday (28) when Luis Diaz's father, Vinuel, and his mother, Cilenis, were suddenly kidnapped by two armed men at a gas station in Barrancas. Rumor has it that there was a gunfight during the kidnapping, but this has not been officially confirmed. The Colombian police and army immediately launched a rescue operation and Cilenis has now been safely rescued and is under police protection. However, Vennour remains in the hands of his kidnappers to this day.
