Premier League "dark horse" Brighton have officially announced that wing player Kaoru Mitaka will extend his contract until June 2027, a decision that breaks speculation that the 26-year-old Japanese star could move to top giants such as Manchester City, Chelsea or Barcelona. However, internet buzz points to the fact that Brighton's move, which appears to bind Kaoru Sanabi for the long haul, may in fact be an attempt to drive up his price.
With Kaoru Sanabi's current deal set to expire in the summer of 2025 and a number of top clubs drooling over him, Bailiton acted in haste to quickly extend his contract until June 2027, thus removing any uncertainty about his future.
The head coach of Bradenton, Mr. Di Sabi, expressed his great joy on the contract extension of Kaoru Sanfeltelt: I am very happy that Kaoru Sanfelt chose to stay in the team, this is a great news for the fans and the team, he is one of the best players in our team. It is reported that after his contract renewal, his weekly salary will be raised to £80,000 (about HK$760,000) from £10,000 now.
Kaoru Mitaka joined Whiteleyton in August 2021 from Kawasaki Striker of Japan's J-League for a transfer fee of just £3 million (approximately HK$28.5 million). Since landing in the Premier League, he has excelled, scoring 10 goals and contributing nine assists in 40 games in all competitions for Whiteleyton, including three goals and four assists in 11 games this season. His market value is estimated to have soared to £50 million (HK$475 million).
