Both Perth Glory and Newcastle Jets are looking forward to this season after a lackluster campaign last season. Perth Glory, buoyed by their recent acquisition by a consortium, seem to have a bright future ahead of them and are in a strong position to squeeze into the top six. On the other hand, Newcastle Jets, despite the strength of their old club, lack of investment has made it difficult for them to attract top players, making fans apprehensive.
I still miss my time with the Newcastle Jets, who are expected to make a push for the playoffs this season, but it seems to be a bumpy road. With a lack of funds, it's hard to bring in strong players, but with a passionate fan base and young players on the rise, the team could be a pleasant surprise. One of the stars to watch out for is 18-year-old Archie Gwynn, who may not start every game, but his potential is unlimited.
Archie Gwynn is expected to score goals this season and learn more from the team's main striker, Bushakia. Bushakia will be a key player up front for the team and his experience and ability will help the team to achieve good results.
When it comes to forwards, Perth Glory's Adam Taggart is undoubtedly one of the best goal scorers in the AFL. We played alongside each other at Newcastle Jets and his love and dedication to soccer is admirable. Despite his loss of speed, Taggart's shot is still accurate and his game has matured. I have no doubt that Teggart will shine in his new surroundings as he returns to the AFL.
