Early this past Sunday morning, Chelsea's thrilling battle with Arsenal ended in a 2-2 draw in a match that can be considered one of the highlights of the season for Chelsea. However, a 12-yard penalty call in the first half caused quite a controversy. Staanen got the ball back after robbing Galpenma of a shot, but then Ansel Fernandes intervened and insisted that Galpenma take the penalty himself, and the youngster lived up to his reputation by taking the shot.

Galpenma, a rising star who joined the club in the summer of this season, had already scored a 12-yard penalty in the last league game to collect his first goal since joining the club. When the referee blew for the penalty, Galpenma had the ball in his hand and was ready to execute it, but Staanen suddenly came out of nowhere and took the ball away from him. Seeing this, Ansel Fernandes immediately came out to support Galpenma and insisted that he take the penalty. In the end, Staanen gave the ball back to Galpenma, although he was not happy about it.
