During Sunday's weekend matches, D.C. United of the United Soccer League officially informed the public that England-born coach Ronny reached an agreement with the team and decided to end their partnership early. Although Ronny capped off his D.C. United coaching career by leading the team to a 2-0 victory over New York City on Sunday, they have unfortunately determined that they will not be able to qualify for the post season.
Since joining the team last July, Ronny has missed out on the playoffs with only 10 wins despite making 34 appearances in the regular season. Speaking about his departure, Ronnie said, "This is an appropriate time to say goodbye, I've done everything I can to get the team into the playoffs. I've had a great time in Washington, but now I think it's time to return to England. As for future plans, I can't be sure at the moment."
