United staged a heart-stopping 2-1 comeback win over Binford on Saturday night in the Premier League. In the 97th minute of the match, McDonald McTomini and Harry Maguire combined to produce the winning goal, saving the day for manager David Tannhäuser. Tellingly, these two heroes were the "hot potatoes" that Tannhäuser was trying to clean up in the summer, but they ended up being his "lifesavers". After the match, McTomini revealed that watching the BECKHAM documentary had inspired his outburst in this match.

McTomini came on as a substitute in the 87th minute and leveled the score at 1-1 just six minutes later, and then in the 97th minute, he converted a header from Halimaguni's second cross into the winning goal. After the game, he was thrilled: "Scoring two goals in stoppage time was unbelievable and this game was one of the best moments of my soccer career. I've been playing for Manchester United since I was five years old and this club means everything to me. I was very inspired after watching the Bigham's documentary last night, and Coach Ferguson always says that a game can be turned around in the final moments, and tonight's game proved that once again."
