Soccer passions are reignited late this Sunday night (8) as Arsenal and Manchester City go head-to-head in an 11.30pm clash. City boss Pep Guardiola has spoken highly of how the club's senior management should not judge whether a coach stays or goes on the basis of short-term results alone, as they may be missing out on the best opportunity to do so. He mentioned Arsenal's former coach Arteta, if Arsenal decisively dismissed Arteta that year, I am afraid there will not be the brilliant performance of the last two seasons.

Arteta's first two years since taking over the Arsenal coaching reins in December 2019 have been underwhelming, with the 2021/22 season opening with three consecutive Premier League defeats and nearly being swept away, but fortunately he kept his job and the team's results have steadily improved with a fifth-placed finish that season, and last season's run to the runners-up spot.

Guardiola emphasized, "When the club believes in something and is patient with the coach, then the results will show. Club management must have a vision and plan, not just make decisions based on short-term results. At present, Arsenal already has an experienced manager, Arteta, who has a deep understanding and love for the club, and no one is better suited to coaching Arsenal than him."
