As the Men's Asian Football tournament moves towards its quarterfinal climax, the Korean men's soccer team battled with the Uzbekistan men's soccer team in Wednesday's (4) match.

South Korea managed to fend off China's home field advantage in the last round of matches, winning by a score of 2:0. The South Koreans had a strong game and basically controlled the tempo of the match, keeping a clean sheet until the end with their solid defense. My previous predictions for the quarterfinals included South Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia and Iran, but I didn't expect Uzbekistan to be the only West Asian team to advance to the quarterfinals.

Uzbekistan failed to win the last U23 Asian Cup after losing to Saudi Arabia, and in the last round, they managed to take revenge with a score of 2:1. In the match, Uzbekistan scored two goals in the first half, and then went all out in defense in the second half, and with their impenetrable defense, they eventually held on to the victory.
