Recently, Manchester United's Brazilian winger Anthony Mafios has been banned by the club for up to a month since being accused by his ex-girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin over an alleged domestic violence incident. However, the Red Devils club have finally announced that the ban has been lifted and he has been allowed to return to training after the 23-year-old was recently questioned by the British police. Manager Eric Tanhag has even hinted at the possibility of the wing speedster making a comeback when they face Galatasaray in the UEFA Europa League group stages in the early hours of next Wednesday (October 4th).

United's official statement mentioned that Anthony has been actively cooperating with the Brazilian and British police in their investigations since the incident broke out in June this year, and promised to continue to cooperate with the authorities in the future. The club has granted him permission to return to the Carrington training base, and although he has been unable to play during the police investigation, he has not been arrested or charged.

Regarding Anthony's comeback, Tannhäuser said that he will not play in the Premier League home game against Crystal Palace this Saturday night (October 30th). However, he will continue to monitor Anthony's recovery and consider whether he can field him in the UEFA Europa League match against Galatasaray. As for when another winger, Charles Sinzu, who is also snowed in, will make his comeback, Tannhäuser pointed out that Anthony's problems are external while Sinzu's are internal, and that the two are not comparable, suggesting that Sinzu will remain on the sidelines.
